very informativeApr 17, 2009 Good reference book to easily show who and what came before other events in Jewish History. Hard to remember those details without the time chart.
The Timechart History of Jewish Civilization Mar 11, 2009 This book is full of information. The quality and contents are way beyond what I ever imagined. It will make a wonderful gift for someone who is into geneology or the study of Judaism. And the price! What a bargain!!!!!
Wonderful Presentation.Feb 09, 2009 Purchased as a gift - and the recipient really loved it. If you are into Jewish History, this book is a must.

Timechart History of Jewish CivilizationDec 27, 2008 The cover, binding and pages are all in NEW condition and it is a beautiful reference, gift or interesting book to browse or read at intervals. It's not too voluminous to daunt the reader and is full of fold-out charts and other chronological information. Makes a nice gift
(Bar/Bat Mitzvah?) or an important addition to one's own library.

Wonderful design, extremely informative, one more problemMay 21, 2007 Like the other reviewer, I take issue with one element of the book: On the timeline, Jesus is referred to as "Jesus Christ." The neutral way to refer to the historical figure is just by his name, "Jesus," leaving off the word "Christ" which is not his name but rather means (edit:) "Messiah" -- hardly appropriate for a Jewish book!
The issues of modern Zionism and the Palestinians can hardly be dealt with in all their complexities in the tiny space available in this book, and so I don't really have a problem with the treatment -- it's clearly a cursory overview; I don't think it's part of the massive left-wing conspiracy or whatever.
Those interested in a more in-depth treatment would do well to seek out "Timetables of Jewish History."
