 Too many sound buttonsNov 03, 2009
My son was too busy pushing the sound buttons on the side to even notice I was ready him a book about potty training.

My sixteen-month-old daughter isn't ready to try the potty yet, but she is becoming interested in it. This book is probably too basic to use for actual potty training, but she's very interested in it and likes to read it and push the buttons all the time. Plus, this book has two advantages over the other potty books I looked at:
1) It's a board book. She's not good yet with paper pages.
2) It illustrates using the actual toilet and not a baby potty seat. We're not planning to use a little potty.
So that made the book perfect for our situation.

I'm sure my son would have loved this book if it wasn't FALLING APART!!! The panel with the sound buttons was TAPED to the book and the tape didn't last very long. Spend the extra money and buy it from another seller!!

A well meaning parent trying to potty train little Fisk junior gets this book as a visual aid. After a couple of hours my eye was twitching and I am jogging the halls of Fisk Mansion muttering over and over 'Elmo has to pinch a loaf... Hahahahahahaaaa'.
This book's text is useless. Fisk junior loves the flushing toilet sound though, and the 'Elmo is learning to use the potty' sound as well. Nothing in the book helps with potty training AT ALL. It is clearly intended to drive parents into the booby hatch.
