5This Is What's Up!Nov 21, 2009
This book is what's up. It covered everything that is needed to know about promoting your book and making your presence known. It is still a great deal of work, but it helps to lighten the weight that comes with doing it all yourself. I am grateful to have come across such a book. I will be reading it over and over. I will be referring to it on many occasions.

5Wonderful Help!! from author of EXPLOSION IN PARIS...Nov 19, 2009
I love it when knowledgable people share their wealth of information. I take full advantage!

5Excellent Resource for new WritersNov 14, 2009
As a relatively new self-published author, I was looking for some guidance as to publishing and marketing my first work.

I researched several recommendations that came up as a result of Google's search engine.

For each one I also read other reviewers comments of the various choices. After my mostly unscientific reviews I chose Plug Your Book by Steve Weber. I found this book to be loaded with helpful suggestions and lists of the various pitfalls that might confront any newly published author.

This reference guide will be used over and over as I continue to self-publish my works.

4Stepping into the market placeSep 21, 2009
In the cut-throat world of publishing, just how do you get your book noticed? It's not a good idea to sit back and wait for your publicist. 'Plug your Book' tells you how to do some marketing of your own. Some ideas are simple: blogging, for instance. Some are a bit harder: selling your book on social networks. After you've dabbled with the easier ideas, your confidence will be increased and maybe then you can tackle the bigger ones. I've found this book useful to get me going. Of course, you need a book to plug; but if you're like the majority of writers and just waiting and waiting for that elusive contract, it can show you ways to plug your unpublished manuscript. One of the best things in this book are the warnings that go with putting yourself out there on the Net. Oh, and the online updates - check these out because some of the info in the printed version is, of course, out of date. This is a great starter kit for the tentative writer in you.
