A "wholesome" young man, Richie is a Jefferson High School student who would do anything to get a date and he spends plenty of time with his friends at Arnold’s, the local burger joint. Contrasting with his wholesome nature is Arthur Fonzarelli, best known as Fonzie, a rough-around-the-edges motorcycle riding high school dropout famous for his slicked hair, leather jacket, and the catchphrase "aaayyyy!" Fonzie is a regular around the Cunningham house, with Mrs. Cunningham doting on him and Richie turning to him for advice on how to attract girls. | | | Product Details: | | | Actors:

Happy Days The first seasonFeb 06, 2010 Happy days went for nine to 10 seasons and the first season was the best i enjoyed. There were good episodes from other seasons, but this one I liked the best.
A Good ShowNov 04, 2009 I bought this tv series because my dad used to watch the show back in the 70's and so I bought it as a gift to him for his birthday.
First Two Seasons The BestOct 24, 2009 The first two seasons of Happy Days are by far and away the best. They were not shot before a live audience and included outdoor scenes. Our family used to look forward to every episode. We anxiously looked forward to the first episode of the third season--the first time the show was shot before a live audience--and after watching it, our family was majorly disappointed. The characters in the first two seasons were very deep and realistic but with the third season on, they exaggerated the characters to the point of being completely unrealistic just to get laughs out of the audience.
If you ever watch re-runs of Happy Days on TV, the way to immediately tell if it is from the first two seasons is if the opening theme song starts with "Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley and the Comets. Starting with season three, when they started filming before a live audience, they moved the end-credits song--"These Happy Days" to the opening theme song.
I'm putting this collection on my Christmas list this year. My only regret is that they did not include the Love American Style pilot on this DVD collection. Our family watched that episode in its original airing. That episode included Richie trying to score on a girl from New York because the stereotype of New York girls back then was that they were very experienced sexually. They DID include a sequel to that episode in the first season of Happy Days where Richie meets the New York girl again. Can't remember the title though.
All in all, first and second seasons of Happy Days are TV classics and a great buy.
happy days review.Sep 29, 2009 my brother and i grew up on happydays, very good family show. the kind they just do not make anymore. love the fact a series can go on for several years and not have to rely on inappropriate material to carry itself. this is a classic that the kids today should get a kick out of.
The best seasonSep 14, 2009 This is the only season when Happy Days was excellent, and it is pure family entertainment. The Cunningham family was portrayed realistically and Fonzie was great as a background character. It is truly a precious season, to be cherished. It's well worth the price, and a lot of fun.
