Good vacation bookJun 06, 2009 Could not make this as good as other writers of SC stories, but it was good for a quick, beach read.
I'll Be Back for More from This AuthorApr 10, 2009 At times, I thought I'd give this book five stars. It truly captivated my imagination through setting and mystique.
Although I was able to predict the truths and events that surprised the narrator, I was never inclined to stop reading.
Portions of the book stuttered a bit, with needless repetition. Most of the book was written in a lovely prose.
I liked that the cover represented with total accuracy an event from the book, and I was enamoured with Ellie and Grayson.
Anything more would spoil the pleasure for future readers.
gripping and moving storyMar 01, 2009 Great setting for this book in Beaufort County, SC where ghosts and hauntings are familiar...this is a very well done story that helps one's own self-analysis...highly recommended.
Between The TidesJan 17, 2009 Another beautiful novel by Patti Callahan Henry. Skillfully and beautifully written, hard to put down and very moving. I look forward to reading all her work.

fast and with a slight twistNov 29, 2008 Although quite predictable, the author does have a flair with catching the reader's interest with her intertwining of the story. It reads very quickly, so great for a plane, train or bus take along!
